Boys Wrestling: The Neers took a tough 12-67 loss from the nationally ranked Dublin Coffman on Wednesday. Freshman Gray Wiedenheimer scrapped for a pin to get the pioneers some points. The boys traveled to Maumee Bay for the Clay Invitational Classic. Senior Tyler Della-Rocco was able to earn a place on the podium. While sophomore Peyton Ogles and Junior Lincoln Gaylor made it to day two but were knocked out in the blood rounds.
Girls Wrestling: On Saturday, Senior Lexi Riley won the Lady Braves Invitational. Senior Camile Ramey placed 4th, as well as Laticia Almeida. Freshman Kayla Scharrai and Freshman Lucy Hall both earned 5th place.
Boys Basketball: On Tuesday, boys basketball went against Gahanna Lincoln at home. Orange won 67-43. Senior Treyton Schroeder led the team with 20 points and Junior Grant Miller scored 16 points to get them ahead. On Friday, the Pioneers competed in the challenge over Liberty. The Neers showed up strong to The Challenge against Liberty on Friday winning 62-40. On Saturday, the boys battled hard, but fell short to Princeton. The final score was 47-70 with Senior Treyton Schroeder having 15 points and was 4/4 on 3’s in the first quarter.
Girls Basketball: Girls Basketball went against Gahanna Lincoln at Gahanna. The girls lost 58-39 with Sophomore Liv Loftis scoring 15 points and 6 assists for the Pioneers. Following close behind, Anna Camphausen scored 9 points. On Friday night, the girls fell short to Liberty 22-40, with Sophomore Liv Loftis was the leading scorer for the neers.
Swim + Dive: Swim and dive traveled to Canton for the Northeast Classic this weekend(16th &17th) Nola Cameron setting 2 prs and Mia Boccio placing 2nd in freestyle and 5th in 100 free added major points for the team.
Hockey: On Tuesday night, boys hockey went up against Liberty at Chiller North. They had a big game, even going into overtime to get them ahead. Junior Rylan Pfaff, Junior Max Zavarella, Junior Maverick Scholvin, and Senior Charlie Streng all scored goals last night making the score 4-3 over the Patriots. On Friday, the boys played against Canton-Akron Jets. They fought a hard first game for the Pioneer classic but fell short with a score of 4-6. Junior Roman Wagner had 4 goals, Junior Jackson Tiedje had 1 goal, Junior Owen Grady had 1. On Saturday, they played against The Miami Jr RedHawks in their second game of the Pioneer classic. Senior Nolan Perry, Senior Ian Leskovich and Junior Colin Henry all scored to tie the game 3-3. For their last game of the tournament the boys played against Dayton Stealth and went overtime to win 4-3. Senior Ian Leskovich had two goals, Junior Colin Henry had one and Senior Nolan Perry had one to get them to the win.
